Artist Bio
Chaska Jurado is a fine art photographer and video artist from Lima, Peru. She received a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in 2012 and is based in NYC, where she has worked in support of arts education for the past 8 years. Her work is informed by a bicultural upbringing and often deals in liminal spaces. She uses image-making to capture uncomfortable silences through color, form and texture; the quiet moments before or after consequential events.
